# What is Featul?

Featul is a feedback management platform that helps teams collect, organize, and act on user feedback. Build better products by understanding what your users actually want.

## Core Features

**Feedback Boards** – Create dedicated spaces for feature requests, bug reports, and suggestions. Users submit ideas and vote on existing requests, helping you prioritize what matters most.

**Public Roadmap** – Share your product roadmap with users. Keep them informed about upcoming features and show that their feedback is being heard.

**Changelog** – Announce new features and updates. Keep your users engaged and informed about product improvements.

**Embed Widget** – Add a feedback widget to your product so customers can browse boards, vote, view the roadmap, and read updates without leaving your app.

**Team Collaboration** – Invite team members as admins, members, or viewers. Discuss requests internally and coordinate responses.

## How It Works

1. **Create workspace** – Set up your feedback portal in minutes
2. **Share with users** – Invite users to submit and vote on feedback
3. **Prioritize** – Use voting data to identify high-impact features
4. **Build** – Focus development on what users want most
5. **Communicate** – Update users through your roadmap and changelog

## Who Uses Featul?

- **Product teams** tracking feature requests
- **Startups** validating ideas with early users
- **SaaS companies** managing customer feedback at scale
- **Open source projects** gathering community input

## Quick Setup

Create your feedback portal in three steps:

### 1. Create Account
Sign up with Google, GitHub, or email. Email users receive a verification code to complete registration. You can also add a passkey or two-factor authentication later from **Account → Security**.

### 2. Set Up Workspace
Choose a workspace name (up to 15 characters) and subdomain (e.g., `yourproduct.featul.com`). This becomes your public feedback portal URL.

New workspaces start with **Features** and **Bugs** boards, plus a **Roadmap** and **Changelog**.

### 3. Share a Board
Open **Settings → Board Settings** to review privacy, anonymous submissions, and comments. Share `yourproduct.featul.com` so customers can submit ideas and vote.

## Customization Options

After setup, personalize your workspace:

- **Branding** – Upload a logo, set brand colors, theme, and layout
- **Domain** – Connect a custom domain like `feedback.yourcompany.com` (Starter and Professional)
- **Team** – Invite members as admin, member, or viewer
- **Widget** – Embed feedback inside your product from **Settings → Workspace**

## Share Your Portal

Distribute your workspace URL through:

- App navigation or help menus
- Onboarding emails
- The [in-app widget](/docs/getting-started/widget)
